On Thursday, November 12, 2015, CMU's 4th Annual Dance United will be held in McGuirk Arena. This event is a fundraising competition between CMU students, faculty, staff and members of the community as part of the University's annual United Way campaign. Dance United has raised more than $45,000 since 2012 that has benefited local nonprofit organizations through United Way of Isabella County. Each dance team has a goal to raise $1,000 for our community.
General Admission for arena seating is open to the public with a suggested donation of $5 or more at the door. Doors open at 6:45pm. The show starts at 7pm as 10-12 celebrity couples perform 2-3 minute dance routines with performances from the CMU Dance Team and local dance studios through out the evening.
This sounds like a fun event to attend and of course in support of a great cause. Is it a competition between the dance groups, or just a performance?
ReplyDeleteWow, this is really awesome! the amount of money raised is incredible! It is great that so many people come out to support the different organizations throughout mount pleasant. I definitely miss being a part of that!
