So last night I was laying in bed scrolling through my Instagram timeline, just like I do every night. While scrolling through my news feed, I came across Kylie Jenner's Instagram featuring herself and Caitlin Jenner, formally known as Bruce Jenner.
In this picture, Kylie's wearing blue lipstick. To me, Kylie wearing blue lipstick didn't surprise me so I didn't think anything of it. Then I read her caption which said, "Wearing blue lips today in honor of world bullying prevention. #BlueShirtDay2015 #WorldBullyingPreventionDay wear blue and post a pic with the hashtags! Spread love & you will receive. Nothing can be done if we don't do it together!"
I wanted to learn more about these hashtags so I decided to click the hashtags to see what other people have posted with the same hashtags. To see that thousands of people and celebrities are spreading the love over one little Instagram picture can make a difference in someone's life, is incredible.
Here's a link to the trending hashtags of #WorldBullyingPreventionDay.

I know people hate the Kardashians/Jenners and we always have to ask ourselves, "How/Why is this family such a big part of our society again?" But we have to give some snaps to Kylie Jenner lately. She's been posting a numerous amount of Instagrams of people that are telling their story just to spread awareness. It's celebrities like Kylie Jenner that have millions of followers that we need to show what cruel things are happening to people in this world. It's something as simple as taking a picture with blue lipstick to spread awareness for those that need it the most.

This Is My Passion
Since my blog is all about music, I want my readers to understand my passion for singing. It all started at such a young age because of my mother. She would always sing me to sleep, sing around the house, in the car, etc. It was because of her, once again, that I had a passion for singing.
I remember getting a karaoke machine for my birthday one year and probably used it every single day for months. Anything from Dixie Chicks to Britney Spears to Avril Lavigne to so much more. I was unstoppable! As a kid, I was super outgoing, didn't have a care in the world, and could sing in front of anyone. My mom raised me to just go out there and be fun!
As I got older, I started getting shy. I wouldn't really want to sing in front of anyone except my mom. Going into my freshman year of high school, my mom forced me to join choir. I was livid. I hated that she made me do something I didn't want to do. I remember being terrified going to a high school, not knowing anyone, and having them hear my voice. What if I was bad? What if they made fun of me? Little did I know that after the first day I'd fall in love with it. I ended up sticking with choir all 4 years. Getting solos for our choir concerts definitely helped boost my confidence too.
Since I had grown to be confident by my junior year of high school, I decided to give American Idol a shot and try out. Not many people get the courage to do it and I still can't believe I did it. Even though I didn't make it far and was probably the longest process ever, it was all worth it in the end. Although you can tell that they take certain people just for television entertainment, to say that I got to try out for American Idol is pretty cool.
Since I loved choir so much I decided to try out for the CMU's Women's Chorus. Auditioning was terrifying but to my surprise I ended up getting accepted! Unfortunately, after my first day of my college choir class I decided to quit. I don't want to sound like a quitter but to me, nothing compares to my choir memories in high school. I ended off on a good note and just didn't feel right in my new choir class. Even though I dropped that choir class, I still have the same passion for singing as I always have. To this day, my mom and I have microphone stands, two books of karaoke cd's, and a binder that's numbered to find the correct cd/song. I guess you can say we take our karaoke singing a little seriously. So once again, a HUGE thanks to my mom for raising me loving music/singing just as much as you.
